Don’t hesitate to contact sometimes my availability is flexible.What’s your take on AI?I do not support the use of generative AI and consider it art theft. I will not work on AI generated books, and will never knowingly include AI generated assets or use an AI generator in any of my designs. All fonts and images used were created by human artists and are licensed for commercial use. All of my products are human created and therefore eligible for copyright. I put a significant amount of time and energy when searching for assets into making sure that I don't acquire anything that looks AI generated.Do you require a deposit?For bookings a 50% deposit is required and 50% upon completion. If you would like to pay in full this is also an option and discounts are available for this.Payment is also required in full before any files are sent.Do you offer discounts?Yes. Discounts are available for multiple and packaged services.How long does a project take you?I’d like to be able to offer specific time frames but I don’t have those. Because it does depend on the customisations and the needs of a specific project.If you require something within a short specific time frame a rush fee will be applied as this will take me away from other projects.Is there content you won’t work with?No. I have no issues with working with NSFW, taboo or any relationship pairings. As someone who is both part of the queer and kink community I am open to working on any projects.Do you have a preferred genre?No. While I personally read predominately queer romance and don’t generally read fantasy or paranormal. I don’t have any issues working on these projects.When I buy a cover from you do I own it?No. You have an exclusive license to use it for commercial purposes. But not alter or resell. Contact me for master rights, this will require additional costs.Will you do foreign language covers?
Absolutely. I am open to working on any language. But will require exact wording necessary.If I buy a premade, how long do I have to make changes?5 years from the date of purchase.What changes come for free on premades?Title. Author name. Blurb. Basic minor colour changes.Additional customisations are not available for premades.

Terms and Conditions

ConfidentialityAll information shared by the client to Dysfunktion Aesthetics is considered confidential. This information will be used to provided the best service and outcome for the client.
No personal information is not provided to outside parties unless discussed with the client.Rights and Image UsageClient is granted an exclusive license for the final cover design. The design is provided in the files necessary PNG/JPG and PDF where necessary.Client is provided the title PNGs to ensure continuing and branding for the book or series. However the client is not provided the PSD files or any master files for the book. The client agrees that they will not alter or change the completed design by Dysfunktion Aesthetics.Dysfunktion Aesthetics will purchase images from Deposit photos or Shutterstock for covers. However the client may supply their own images but they MUST meet specifications. The right to know where the image originated from and the license agreement in place for this image, for example if the client purchases an image from a photographer the license for that is required.The license for design work is covered under a stand clinked for images and is limited to 500,000 units. This does not include the cover being used as merchandise like mugs, stickers etc. Should the client wish sell merchandise they are required to advise Dysfunktion Aesthetics and provide payment for an extended license.Clients ResponsibilityIt is the clients responsibility to order a proof of the cover design before putting the book for sale. This ensures that any issues can be rectified in a timely manner.The client must provide the final size for printing, this includes where they are being printed, time size, paper colour and the final page count. The client can also be asked to provide a template from the printer if necessary.Communication with Dysfunktion AestheticsAll communication regarding design and projects needs to be via email. This is not negotiable. This ensures that there is a chain of communication for each project and that no information is lost within social media.Please keep in mind that Dysfunktion Aesthetics is located in Australia. At times there may be delays on communication because of time differences. Any time off will be conveyed by via social media platforms as well as the newsletter.Payment50% deposit is required for bookings. Should the client cancel they forfeit 25% of the full amount.Final payment is required after the client has approved designs. No files will be sent to the client without payment. Once the client has approved the final design Dysfunktion Aesthetics will not make changes to the design or test except for updating the blurb. Any changes or updates will be charged to the client accordingly.Failure to make payment can result in your project not being locked in.All payments are invoiced through PayPal. At this time there are no other payment options.Time FramesDysfunktion Aesthetics works based on project. This often means that there is no specific time frame for each service. Especially when working on series or multiple services for the client.
If the client requires the project to be completed in an urgent time frame Dysfunktion Aesthetics reserves the right to charge the client accordingly. Dysfunktion Aesthetics takes no responsibility for poor time management. It is the clients responsibility to convey their needs and deadlines at time of booking.AttributionDysfunktion Aesthetics requires credit for cover design and formatting services. These are to be included in the copyright page.While not mandatory it is appreciated that when covers, formatting, graphics and logos are shared on client websites or social media that Dysfunktion Aesthetics is credited for these.
